Back August Bonang Matheba broke SABC 1's viewership records when part one of her two-part reality series, 'A Very Bonang Year', became the most-watched celebrity-driven reality series of all time on their platform, bringing in over 1.8-million viewers.

More than 1.86 million people tuned in to watch Bonang Matheba’s “A Very Bonang Year” which premiered its first episode on Saturday, August 1. The viewership manage to break records for the number of people tuning in to an SABC show.

In addition, the #AVeryBonangYear hashtag reached an astonishing 2.2 billion impressions over the broadcast period, showing why the entrepreneur and philanthropist has well-earned the moniker of Queen B.
